The Plan

For this interactive Prototype, I had decided to focus on the driving mechanic for the game. I strived to improve the vehicle and create a sandbox-style level for players to drive in. The first prototype introduced players to steering and driving; as well as a landscape with hills for players to drive on. I figured I would spend more time by adding a way to change the vehicle's gears from drive to reverse using a gear stick. However based on the feedback, I had decided to add more functions to the vehicles driving, in order to find a set mechanic. In this prototype, players must drive around by driving and reversing using the mouse motion with minimal use of the keyboard, in order to navigate themselves and collect all the gas canisters. Rather than focusing on the environment.

This second prototype was intended to enhance the controls of the car by a notch from the previous conceptual prototype. There were a few things that was changed to the vehicle’s mechanic.
